What is Counselling ?

Counselling  Therapy is a confidential service that enables you to talk through worries or situations that are causing problems in your life, and helps you to better understand and manage them. Therapy offers you a safe, confidential space, where you will be listened to without  judgement . As the client, you are in control of the counselling process, you will be able to express your feelings openly and work through issues at your own pace, in your own way.

The counsellor helps you by using psychological theories to develop a treatment plan which enables you understand your problems, how they have developed and how they are maintained. A range of different therapeutic techniques can then be used to help you to make changes in your life. Counselling can be very brief, or longer-term, depending on the needs of the client.

Our sessions last 60 minutes, and the number and frequency of sessions is negotiable, we can work on this together. The counselling process can be very creative and we can work with a variety of creative methods during your sessions.

I look forward to meeting you.
